This project explores the creation of a fictional micronation called The Dark Defenders, inspired by the world and moral framework of the Dexter franchise. Presented publicly as an environmental conservation organization based in New York City, the nation uses design to communicate themes of symbolism, secrecy, and ideology. The identity is built around the Code of Harry, a strict system of rules that serves as the nation’s constitution, with Dexter Morgan as its sole leader. The visual system uses red to represent life, justice, and consequence, while circular forms reference Dexter’s ritual of blood collection. The red spider lily serves as the national emblem, appearing across the flag, currency, and official materials. The project includes a complete national identity system featuring a logo, flag, currency, passport, stamps, government seal, website, member handbook, and conceptual map.
